February 13, 2010 - George Stelluto

Called "one of the most promising young conductors of his generation," George Stelluto is quickly becoming known for his "engaging, energetic performances and insightful interpretations of music." Stelluto has the distinction of being the Juilliard School's first recipient of the Artist Diploma in conducting, and he also holds two master's degrees (Violin and Conducting) from the Yale School of Music. The Resident Conductor of the Juilliard School and Assistant Conductor of the Ravinia Festival, he has still found time to make guest appearances in the United States and abroad, including engagements with the Kiev Chamber Orchestra, Ukrainian National Orchestra, Transylvania State Philharmonic (Romania) and the symphony orchestras of Nevada and Hartford. Stelluto's performances and recordings have been broadcast on radio and television throughout the United States and Europe, and he has collaborated with artists such as Hilary Hahn, Sarah Chang and Edgar Meyer.
