At UnityPoint Health-Methodist | Proctor, we value the musical gift the Peoria Symphony Orchestra gives to our community. Healthcare touches more than the body; it touches the soul. I believe music does, too. That is why I’m so proud of UnityPoint Health’s partnership with the PSO, which I consider a local treasure.”

Your PSO is key to economic redevelopment and growth
The Peoria Symphony Orchestra has an important role to play in ongoing economic development efforts. Our offices are located in the heart of the warehouse district. It has been exciting to see visionary plans come to life in the form of Sculpture Walk Peoria, pedestrian friendly streets, and new storefronts.
Arts and cultural production contributes $698 billion to the United States economy, compared with Construction at $568.7 billion and transportation and warehousing at $464.1 billion.* Furthermore, arts and cultural spending has a clear ripple effect on the overall economy. Do you ever go out to dinner or drinks before and/or after a concert? Guess what? You are not alone!
Part of the PSO’s mission is to build another bridge in our city of bridges – one between cultures that shows the sophistication, value, and encompassing nature of great music. This work is possible because of generous support from leading area businesses.
