Peoria Symphony Announces Its 129th Season

PEORIA, IL – The Peoria Symphony Orchestra is excited to unveil its 2026–27 concert season. Marking its 129th season, the lineup features eight dynamic performances designed to inspire and entertain audiences of all ages. Blending timeless masterworks with audience favorites and fresh artistic experiences, the upcoming season promises an unforgettable musical journey.

Launching the season in August, the PSO is proud to present a special event sure to resonate with music fans across generations: acclaimed South African indie folk artist Gregory Alan Isakov joins the Peoria Symphony Orchestra for an extraordinary performance of his most beloved songs, specially arranged for orchestra.
Season highlights also include Force of Destiny, featuring the return of acclaimed tenor Rodrick Dixon; Dazzling Stars, showcasing 11-year-old piano prodigy Amelia Ly alongside PSO’s own Sarah Carrillo on trumpet; and the beloved presentation of Handel’s Messiah at St. Mary’s Cathedral in March.
The PSO is also delighted to bring back a reimagined winter celebration, Joy of the Season, featuring classical holiday favorites with organist Pax Carlile. Hosted in December at First Federated Church, the concert offers audiences a memorable live orchestral experience in a venue celebrated for its historic charm and exceptional acoustics.
