Pre-Concert Lectures
Some concerts are preceded by a thirty minute presentation by Maestro George Stelluto or a guest presenter at 6:30 p.m. Concertgoers are invited to an insightful and relaxed conversation related to the music, composers, and guest artists featured in the evening’s concert. Watch for signs in the lobby directing you to the lecture location which will be conveniently located near the performance space. You will have plenty of time to get to your seat.
MUSICAL DISCOVERY CONCERTS
The Peoria Symphony Orchestra’s Musical Discovery concerts are a special musical adventure designed to entertain and educate children. The concert encourages children to discover all instruments of the orchestra—one at a time. Programs include Heavenly Harp, Trusty Trombone, Fantastic Flute, and many more! Presented by musicians of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, each program features the sounds and music each instrument can create. The series was taped in collaboration with WTVP. Find current air dates on WTVP’s online schedule.
