Volunteer for the Guild
The Peoria Symphony Guild is looking for volunteers, particularly as it relates to educational outreach. Volunteers are needed to assist in organizing the Young Artist Competition in the fall and the Student Concert in the spring. Volunteer opportunities include: Student concert assistance; Young Artists Competition Assistance; Puppet Troupe School Performances for Grades K-3 Children; Cookie/Refreshments Donations (various dates); Guild Luncheon Assistance (Welcome Coffee, Winter & Spring Luncheons); Musical Monday Assistance; Guild or Peoria Symphony (PSO) Event Assistance; Musician Hospitality at PSO Rehearsals; Guest Artist Transportation/Hospitality; Fundraiser Assistance (Raffles, Silent Auctions, Coordination); Publicity and Social Media Assistance; Archives Assistance; Photographer.
Volunteer for PSO
The Peoria Symphony Orchestra has a small but mighty staff team. We appreciate volunteers who can help on a consistent basis in the office, or as needed to execute special projects and events.
Opportunities
- Assist with mailings for special events, membership events, and the Annual Fund.
- Share your talent for writing, proofreading, and sending out communications to our members to keep them up-to-date on Symphony activities.
- Provide clerical support: office support during regular workday hours. In order to keep the office running smoothly, we often need help with clerical projects such as mailings, organizing, filing, computer input, helping to answer phones and other clerical functions.
- There is always a need for a handyman or assisting with housekeeping chores such as watering plants, setting up and taking down tables and chairs in the performance space, and taking an inventory on reception supplies.
The Peoria Symphony keeps a list of volunteers for really large mailings, but if you have a specific day and time that you would like to volunteer, that would be helpful. The Peoria Symphony’s normal office hours are from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To volunteer, please fill out the form below.
